Mr. Poskey currently serves as the Program Director (Acting), Director of Program Management and Integration, and Acquisition Functional Lead, for the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Space Capabilities Directorate. Proceeding his current role, he served as Director of Contracts for the MDA’s Space Sensors Program Directorate and as the Deputy Director of Contracts for the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC).
Mr. Poskey began his career with the Department of Defense (DoD) in 1987 with the U.S. Air Force as an F-16 Avionics System Craftsman and he served on active duty for ten years. Following
his military service Mr. Poskey worked in the private sector for seven years as a Project Manager and Purchasing Manager.
Mr. Poskey returned to the DoD and began his career in civil service in 2004. In addition to his current roles, he has served as a Contract Specialist and a Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) in support of the U.S. Air Force’s Air Mobility and Space Commands. He joined the MDA in 2008 and has worked as a PCO in support of the Office of the Chief Information Officer, MDIOC and the Space Systems Program Directorate.
Mr. Poskey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management of Technical Operations from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University. Mr. Poskey has achieved certifications in Contracting and Program Management. Mr. Poskey is a member of the DoD Acquisition Corps and became a Certified Purchasing Manager in 2004.
Mr. Poskey is a veteran of the Gulf War (Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm), and has three deployments in support of Operation Southern Watch.
